Coaching
Executive coaching is now commonplace as part of leadership development programs around the world. The definition of executive coaching is evolving but the essential elements are: an individualised leader development process with development through experience that aims to build a leader's capability to achieve short and long term organisational goals. It is conducted through one-on-one and/or group interactions. Within successful coaching programs the executive, organisation and coach work in partnership to achieve maximum impact.
At Langmont Advantage we have experienced and highly skilled professional coaches with extensive psychological knowledge, business acumen, organisational knowledge and coaching knowledge which are the key knowledge areas that underpin quality executive coaching.
Executive coaching involves three levels of learning:- Tactical problem solving.
- Developing leadership capabilities and new ways of thinking and acting that can be generalised across situations.
- 'Learning how to learn' i.e. developing skills and habits of self-reflection that ensure learning will continue
after the coaching ends.
- Personal/life coaching (clarify goals/priorities, understand thoughts/feelings/options, take appropriate action)
- Vocational/career coaching (identify career wants/needs, make decisions, take action, achieve balance)
- Group coaching (leadership development, stress management, team building)
- Relationship coaching
- Newly appointed manager coaching (clarify responsibilities, team integration, how to achieve objectives/targets)
- Specific behavioural coaching
- Presentation/Communication skills coaching (self awareness, perception, effective communication)
- Team coaching (establish targets, develop a vision, strategy, role division, achieve team goals)
